What Is Chilli Bandits?
Chilli Bandits is a video slot from Slotmill, a studio based in Malta. The theme is a lighthearted Mexican western: dusty desert towns, cacti, and three pepper desperadoes. For more chilli-themed play, you can try 3 Hot Chilli Peppers at SpinSaga.
The reels use an unusual diamond shape: 3 rows on the outer reels and 4 on the middle three. That gives 576 ways to win, and puts the focus on the three middle reels where the Chilli Wilds land.

Chilli Bandits Features Explained
Chilli Wilds
The three Chilli Wilds are the stars of the game. According to Slotmill, they appear only on reels 2, 3, and 4. If one lands partly in view, it nudges and expands to cover the whole reel as a full stacked Wild.
Each pepper also has its own power, according to reviews:
Chilli Wild | Special Power |
Green | Doubles the number of ways to win |
Yellow | Turns up to 6 random symbols into the same symbol |
Red (Chilli the Kid) | Splits up to 6 symbols so each counts as two |
Landing more than one Chilli Wild in a spin combines their powers. Expanding Wilds that grow to fill more of the reels also feature in Royal Potato, whose Jumbo Wild grows during free spins.
Bonus Symbols
According to reviews, Bonus symbols land on the middle three reels. Three of them trigger the free spins. If only one or two land, they turn into Wilds instead, so they can still help with a win.
Free Spins and the Chilli Multiplier
Three Bonus symbols award 8 free spins. During the bonus, reviews describe these extras:
• Chilli Multiplier: starts at x1 and grows by +1 every time a Chilli Wild lands. It applies to wins that include a Chilli Wild.
• No reset: the multiplier keeps building until the round ends.
• Extra spins: extra spin symbols can add 1 free spin each.

Free Spins Gamble
Chilli Bandits is Slotmill's first game with a bonus gamble, according to Slotmill. Before the free spins start, you can spin a Gamble Wheel:
• Win: +4 free spins (8 becomes 12).
• Gamble again: you can try once more, for up to 16 free spins.
• Lose: you lose the free spins and return to the base game.
A similar free spins gamble appears in Torii Tumble. Each gamble has a random outcome, so it's a choice about risk, not a way to improve your odds. Our guide to understanding social casino game odds explains how this kind of feature works.
Fast Track and Burst Mode
Slotmill games include two extras:
• Fast Track: buy straight into features. Reviews list three options: a spin with 2 guaranteed Bonus symbols (10x the bet), a spin with at least 1 Chilli Wild (40x), or the free spins (80x, with a 96.48% RTP).
• Burst Mode: a faster autoplay that runs two game rounds per second.
Like Cluster Tumble, buying features slightly raises the RTP, but it costs a large multiple of your stake and doesn't guarantee a return. Fast Track may not be available in every market. Chasing feature buys is one of the common mistakes new players should avoid.
Chilli Bandits RTP, Volatility and Max Win
RTP: 96.11%. This is Slotmill's figure for the base game, and it's slightly higher when using Fast Track. RTP is a theoretical long-term average and doesn't predict any session.
Volatility: Very high. Slotmill rates the game very high volatility, so wins can be spread out, with the biggest results coming from free spins with a high Chilli Multiplier. See what slot volatility means and our guide to volatility vs RTP.
Max win: 15,000x the bet, according to Slotmill. Wins near the cap are extremely rare.
Is There a Chilli Bandits Demo?
Yes. Slotmill's official page has a Play button for a free demo. At SpinSaga, you can play slots with free Gold Coins. If you play on your phone, you can install the SpinSaga app from your browser on iOS or Android, with no App Store download needed.
